Strengthening Faith Community Connectedness During the COVID-19 Pandemic Thursday, April 30, 2020 6:00:00 PM Coordinated Universal Time - 8:00:00 PM Coordinated Universal Time
Faith leaders play an essential role in bringing communities together to promote connectedness—faith, hope, and life (http://www.faith-hope-life.org/)—and provide support to those who may be struggling or in crisis. With the COVID-19 pandemic affecting the entire country, and physical distancing mandates in place in many states and communities, faith leaders are now challenged with a new reality—finding alternate ways to bring their communities together and provide care and support from a distance. Especially now during this difficult time, faith leaders can make a tremendous positive impact on the wellbeing of their congregations by building virtual opportunities for social connectedness and community. Join the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention’s (Action Alliance) (https://theactionalliance.org/) Faith Communities Task Force on April 30 at 2:00 pm ET for a free 1-hour webinar to learn about Strengthening Faith Community Connectedness During the COVID-19 Pandemic. Participants will: • Hear from a distinguished and diverse group of faith leaders to learn about how they are using technology to strengthen connectedness and support virtually. • Connect with each other to share personal experiences and ideas for holding online religious services, convening groups virtually, and providing support to those who are struggling. • Learn about how to integrate the Action Alliance’s National Weekend of Prayer for Faith, Hope, and Life (www.PrayFaithHopeLife.org) (May 15-17, 2020) into their efforts to help communities wherever they pray.
